Mary Oliver, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and one of the most popular poets of the past century, visited Pittsburgh’s International Poetry Forum reading series alongside Howard Moss in November 1979.
This fall, the International Poetry Forum is proud to present a free screening of Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World in partnership with the Carnegie Museum of Art. The screening will take place at the Carnegie Museum of Art Theater at 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Jake Grefenstette, executive director of the International Poetry Forum, will share some context about Oliver’s relationship to Pittsburgh before the screening.
